We are looking for someone to work on SMS Gyan's search & answering engine, focusing on performance and search quality.
Responsibilities:
· Conceive and implement new methods and standards to improve search qualityand efficiency
· Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of servers and processes
· Analyze, maintain, and modify search, ranking and decision making algorithms and implement them into programs
· Mine a variety of online and offline sources to transform unstructured data into actionable intelligence
Skills required:
· Hands on programmer with at least 6 months of experience in PHP, Java, and/or Python
· Experience in API's and libraries such as Hadoop, Solr, Nutch, Mahout, etc will be preferred
· Experience in distributed computing, information retrieval, data mining and machine learning will also be preferred
Competencies required:
· Analytical skills
· Out-of-the-box thinking
· Ability to work well in a team
